lackey puts out ‘10 big ones’
Synth-punk four-piece Lackey returns with their debut full-length LP, 10 Big Ones, out June 5, 2026 on digital and limited edition vinyl. This time Lackey delivers ten tracks that are bigger, louder, and more unapologetically themselves than ever — channeling heartbreak, artistic frustration, and the small, strange victories of everyday life at maximum wattage.
Comprised of Dante Pinker (vocals), Dan Wityak (guitar), Luke “T” Sweeney (synth), and Nate Andre (drums), the band first emerged with two cassette EPs on Archfiend Records — Icky and the Halloween release Pumpkin Sounds. With 10 Big Ones, they expand that foundation into a full-length that hits harder and swings wider. 10 Big Ones captures the full spectrum of young adult life in a collapsing world — from workplace crushes and lucky parking spots to creative burnout and friendships drifting out of reach. It’s a record about the big, the small, and everything in between. Running an Arp Odyssey synthesizer as bass and guitar as lead, Lackey creates a dense, physical sound that flirts with hardcore without collapsing into it — drawing from Fang, Black Sabbath, and even The Beach Boys. The result is something both abrasive and immediate: hooky, blown-out, and built for repeat listens. From downtown LA alleys to Hollywood hills, Lackey is stepping into their biggest moment yet.
Here’s what the lackey boys have to say on their new release:
With our new record, we bring TEN BIG ONES to scratch that summer-time itch for the masses. That’s right, ten. Ten big songs to tap your foot to in church. Ten big songs to hum at work. Ten big songs about life—the big, the small, the mundane. There’s a song about that crush you have at work. A song about that sweet free parking spot you found right outside your place. Another about sending that risky, third, “let’s jam,” text to the musician homie that you used to rock with all the time, but then he decided to have a kid and keeps leaving you on read every time you hit him up to rock again like you used to back in the day in the garage of his parents’ house.
There’s one song about that girl back home in Conshohocken that shattered your heart back in the 2000s...
And if you’ve been having an existential crisis about becoming a young adult with an uncertain future in a crumbling world and feeling like you’ve been given the responsibility to rectify the mistakes of previous generations, well hey, the Lackey boys have a big one for that as well.
And remember, if you wanna walk with the big dogs you can’t piss with the pups.
